General objective: Key frames should be finish
Due date: Jan. 24, 2008
Status:

As of Jan. 24 - 29, 2008 key frames from scene 1 to 26 were already drawn. Scene 1 to 24 were traced, and placed in flash. However all key frames do not have colors yet except scene 1.
Sound fx, background music, voice dubbing, special fx are not yet on hand.

Hindrance: Lack of computer vacancies; laziness; lots of other projects/activities/requirements from other subjects.

Project percentage: 67% of 100%

Plans:
I. Finish the lacking in between frames.
II. Color all drawings.
III. Sound fx.
IV. Improve key frames scene 2 to 7.
V. Improve background designs.

On a sunny summer, kids are busy on flying their kites, each have their own design, that it reflects their personality. Gelo is on his way to their subdivision’s playground where kids are playing. There, he said to himself how fun it would be if he has his own kite flying with other kites. But, a bully and troublesome Blitz with his kite Brutus enters the scene and busting every kite on his way, everyone’s kite but not Toh and his kite Crusher. Gelo was amazed to how Crusher repels Brutus and protect other kites from it. So Gelo decided to create his own kite – Kiddo. Will Gelo and Kiddo survive against furious Blitz and Brutus? Will Gelo become a good kite fighter like Toh? Will Kiddo be the prey of Brutus, or the other way around? Read our storyboard now!

This Line test is on the first scene wherein Gelo goes out of his house and goes straight to the field. Arriving in the field, Gelo sits on the log which has a clear view of the whole field.

Izeek (Nes Isaac Ramos)

The things I've learned and experiences in developing this project helped me to be more responsible and put extra effort on it to reach what our group have now at this point. Experiences and learnings such as: dealing with 3 other people in the group, knowing them better, their capabilities, attitudes, and weaknesses even we are classmates for more than 3 years now; Generating the whole idea of the short film, the concepts, the characters although my groupmate created them but its my initiative on what should they look like to fit to the story, and the flow of the short film; and the most important of all, the happy moments in developing this project like overnight stay in the house of one of our classmate, bloopers, and gags.

GB (Gerardo Basilio Faelnar)

As always filipinos like to be standing in the point of cramming, I saw that not only our group are cramming this week but also the others. I really don't like cramming but if the groupmates are not yet known to us, we should adjust for them and not them to adjust for us. Cramming it may look but when joined in one vision and mission everyone can achieved their goal as everyone says no pain, no gain. The final project was a challenge because there was only a week in accomplishing it, good for us it was only like a compilation of our previous requirements, the difficult part is the line testing wherein the drawn frames are scanned and then traced in Adobe Illustrator and lastly pasting the traced frames and plot them in Mac. Flash to line test. Also in this project I learned how to put desired Flash (.swf) files in sites/blogs.

Epoy (Julifil Ventula)

My experience in being a member of this group is connected to my assigned task of course which was drawing...I learned that basic drawing I mean the frame work of each character should first be drawn so you will have a picture and not commit uneven body forms..which is very important unless you're a pro which I'm not. Well, making this project was not that simple at the start...you need to consider many different things that connotes with each individual character and environment making the matter a little more of a brain storming at first...after that it was no smooth sailing either for the hardest part has yet to come..the animation process, I hope that the animation in the end will be worth the hardships but I know that through team cooperation our work will triumph.

MJ (Mark Jeffrey Mabalot)

During this project development i experienced many things one of which is i really find it difficult to participate in our group due to the fact that i have no talent in drawing and has a minimal talent for the animation field, but thanks to my group mates i didn't end up doing nothing they gave me a task and a role in our team. Having the minimal talent in the group the task assigned to me was not easy, it required me to exert more effort in which i did. Even though my works/contributions was not professionally done i think it would be able to help the development of our project. Overall if we stay together, exert more effort, and cooperate as a team no doubt our job will be finished.
